STC’s Secretariat Holds Periodic Meeting and Discusses Political Scene Report

The General Secretariat of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held its periodic meeting on Wednesday in the capital, Aden, chaired by Mr. Fadhl Mohammed Al-Gaadi, member of the STC’s Presidium and deputy secretary general.
The meeting stood before the terrorist attack that targeted the southern armed forces participating in the military operation “Arrows of the East” in Omran Valley in Abyan Governorate, and the Secretariat commended the steadfastness and valor of our armed forces on all fronts to maintain security and stability and defend the safe heavens of the South, offering sincerest condolences and deep sympathy to the families of the blessed soldiers who were martyred as a result of that terrorist operation and all the blessed martyrs of the South on all fronts.
Furthermore, the meeting discussed a report on the political scene submitted by the political department, which included the most prominent political developments in the southern arena over the past two weeks and their impact on the daily lives of citizens.
Similarly, the meeting reviewed the job discipline report for the staff of the General Secretariat during the month of July submitted by the Administrative and Financial Department.
In addition to that, the meeting focused on a range of developments taking place in the governorates of the South, foremost of which is the deterioration of the education sector due to the accumulation of financial and administrative corruption and the poor inspection and supervision of education offices in the governorates.
The meeting also touched on a report on the achievement of the activities of the departments of the Secretariat during the past week as well as the minutes of the previous meeting after assimilating the presented remarks.
