STC’s Secretariat Holds Periodic Meeting Chaired by Secretary-General

The General Secretariat of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held its periodic meeting on Wednesday in the capital, Aden, chaired by Mr. Fadhl Mohammed Al-Gaadi, member of the STC’s Presidium and secretary-general.
The meeting focused on the situation taking place in the governorates of the South, most notably the delay in paying salaries of government employees as a result of the decree issued by the Ministry of Finance to transfer all salaries of employees through private banks and the attempt to transfer the salary item in the public budget to the fourth item related to aid and donations, and its negative economic impacts in the mid-to-long term.
Furthermore, the meeting reviewed a report submitted by the Administrative and Financial Department related to the job discipline of the staff of the Secretariat during the month of August.
Similarly, the meeting discussed the weekly activity report of departments of the general secretariat during the past week, in addition to reviewing and approving the minutes of the previous meeting after taking into account the raised remarks.
