STC’s Secretariat Organizes Third Celebration on Eid Al-Adha in the Capital, Aden

The Media and Cultural Department of the General Secretariat of the Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) organized, on Monday evening, at the theater of the New Aden Park in Crater, the third season of Eid Al-Adha, under the generous patronage of President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, President of the STC, and Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC).

At the beginning of the festival event, which was attended by Dr. Basem Mansour, the head of the media and cultural department, his deputy, Mr. Amr Mohammad Aqeel, delivered a speech in which he congratulated the attendees on the occasion of the blessed Eid al-Adha and conveyed to them the greetings of the political leadership of the STC, represented by President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi.

Mr. Aqeel indicated that this celebration took place to share the joy of the people of the capital, Aden, with Eid Al-Adha, as we in the South live and witness a time of peace, love, and harmony under the wise leadership of the South, wishing the attendees to enjoy watching the various activities of the festival.

Furthermore, Aqeel commended the great efforts made by the southern security forces in their campaign to prevent the carrying of arms in the capital, Aden, affirming that the South has always been keen on peace, security, and stability and possesses a civilized mentality that rejects all manifestations that may disturb civil life.

It is worth noting that the festival, which was attended by a number of high-ranking officials of the STC and a large gathering of families, included many performances like traditional lyrical songs of the South, Adeni folk dancing, and some juggling games.

It has also represented a comedy-theater sketch about electronic blackmailing and performed kids’ lyrical songs that gained the approbation of all. Further to an interactive cultural competition with the audience, through which incentive awards were presented to the winners.
