STC’s Women’s Commission Organizes Expanded Consultative Meeting for Southern women in Al-Mahra Governorate

The women’s commission of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) organized, on Saturday evening, the expanded consultative meeting of Southern women in Al-Mahra Governorate, under the patronage of President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), and Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC).
Ms. Alia Al-harizi, a member of the STC’s Advisory Board, praised the prominent role of Mahri women, their distinctive presence, and their thundering voice in all events and occasions, which reflects their firm position with the project of the South and the demand for restoring the aspired federal state of the South, which guarantees the rights of all, including women’s rights.
For her part, Dr. Suhair Ali Ahmed explained that the aim of the meeting is to have a dialogue and consultation on finding a unified feminist entity, working to strengthen the role of Southern women in various social, economic, and political fields, demanding their rights, and actively contributing to the construction of the upcoming federal state of the South.
At the meeting, which was attended by Dr. Mona Bashraheel, head of the STC’s Training and Qualification Commission, and Ms. Tofoul Saeed, head of the Woman and Child Administration at the executive body of the local leadership in the governorate, many remarks and suggestions were raised and presented.
The consultative meeting witnessed a distinguished presence of Mahri women, with the participation of many feminists, leaders, and activists, as well as a gathering of women from various political spectrums and components in the governorate.
