Supreme Committee for Legal Affairs approves holding workshop with participation of specialized community competencies

The Supreme Committee for Legal Affairs of the Southern Transitional Council, on Wednesday, held its periodic meeting headed by Dr. Saad Mohamed Saad, Chairman of the Committee.
The meeting discussed the work program for the remainder of this year 2021, and in this regard approved the necessary measures to implement the directives of President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, the President of the Transitional Council, which included inaugurating the work of the committee by holding a legal workshop, the implementation of which is based on the basic and effective participation of the most prominent organizations and centers of legal and human rights studies and high competencies and expertise in the fields of judiciary, law, and consultancy specialized in international and constitutional law, labor legislation, human rights law, economics and other major areas of law, which will be the focus of the workshop, which will be held under the title “The Higher Committee for Legal Affairs, Reality and Hope”.
The committee hopes to come out of this workshop with recommendations and procedures that establish the law of the southern state and pave the way for the launch of the legislative work organizing it.
In this regard, the Legal Committee, in its meeting, invited all organizations, legal studies centers and high academic and legal competencies specialized in the fields of legislation, the judiciary and the legal profession to interact with the workshop and all work to make it successful and follow up on its facts and results to benefit from them at the level of the south as a whole.
It is worth mentioning that the directives of President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, stressed the need to make the workshop a means to listen to the southern legal voices in all its branches and to benefit from their views in various directions to determine the foundations of the legislation of the desired southern state.
The committee also discussed in its meeting a number of other issues related to the organizational and administrative situation and took a number of measures in this regard.
