Supreme Committee for Legal Affairs launches its activities with workshop and invites legal competencies to actively participate in it

The Supreme Committee for Legal Affairs of the Southern Transitional Council, on Thursday, held its first meeting for the year 2022, headed by Dr. Saad Mohammed Saad, Chairman of the Supreme Committee, Head of the Legal Committee of the National Assembly.
In its meeting, the committee discussed the executive procedures for the directives of President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, the President of the Transitional Council, regarding its organizational mechanism of action, arranging the conditions of its staff and the financial requirements for the conduct of its work, and took what was necessary to implement them, expressing in the context its thanks and appreciation for the concern shown by the President and his support for launching it on the right foundations that enable it to advance its work to the level of responsibility assigned to it.
The committee reviewed the final preparations for the legal workshop that will be implemented under the directives and patronage of President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi under the title “The Higher Committee for Legal Affairs… Reality and Hope,” in which a group of academics in law and sociology will participate, with the aim of introducing the committee’s role to implement the legal policy of the Council, as well as what is hoped for from it, from the point of view of southern cadres and competencies of academics in legal sciences in various fields, as well as political and social sciences, and other intellectuals and politicians.
The committee invited all competencies and expertise in the field of legislation and law enforcement, to attend this workshop, scheduled to be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, corresponding to January 18 and 19, and to actively participate in it by presenting their views on the research papers that will be discussed, the axes of which will focus on the societal vision of the foundations and features of the legislation of the state of the South, and the legal treatment of societal problems aimed at unifying the southern ranks, as well as the integration and development of the organizational structure of the Council to keep pace with the changes and the continuous expansion of the Council’s tasks.
The committee also discussed the perceptions of its departments regarding their work plans for the year 2022, in accordance with the general directions of the work of the Council, deciding to wait in approving these perceptions in order to benefit from the results of the workshop’s work to enrich them.
The committee renewed its thanks and appreciation to President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, for his support for holding this workshop in a distinctive way that embodies the importance of the committee’s position within the framework of the organizational structure of the Council.
The meeting also touched on a number of other topics related to the committee’s work, and took the necessary measures in this regard.
