Supreme Committee for Legal Affairs of Southern Transitional Council holds its periodic meeting

The Supreme Committee for Legal Affairs of the Southern Transitional Council, on Wednesday, held its periodic meeting, headed by Dr. Saad Mohammad Saad, head of the committee.
The meeting was opened, with a speech by Dr. Saad Mohammad, in which he explained the importance of this meeting, which establishes to launch the work of the committee, from which the leadership of the Council expects to contribute seriously not only in providing legal support for the development of the Council’s legislation, but also in guiding and supporting its bodies to lay the legal foundations for southern legislation, and to follow up on developments in events, and develop legal solutions to address it.
At its meeting, the committee discussed a number of proposals, submitted by its members, related to the committee’s organizational status and tasks, and the required work mechanisms that establish a systematic specialized and institutional work that contributes to meeting current and future legal needs to help the council’s leadership achieving the goals contained in the Aden historical Declaration.
The committee assigned its members to study the draft documents proposed by them regarding the organizational structure and tasks, in order to come up with a unified draft of the committee’s organizational bylaw that accommodates all the proposals, ensuring the achievement of the goals assigned to it, presenting it in its final form to the next meeting of the committee for discussion and approval, and submiting it to the presidency of the council for approval.
In its discussion of other topics, the committee stressed the need to follow up on developments and identify the topics required for the committee’s intervention to provide legal assistance to the council’s presidency to deal with them.
The committee also reviewed the work requirements necessary to carry out its duties effectively, and the forms of support and coordination required with the various council bodies, to unify and develop the legal structure of the council and took the necessary measures in this regard.
