Supreme Committee for Legal Affairs warns of dangers of unilateral measures on negotiation process

The Supreme Committee for Legal Affairs of the Southern Transitional Council, on Thursday, held an extraordinary meeting headed by Dr.. Saad Mohammed Saad, Chairman of the Committee.

The meeting discussed the progress of preparations for the negotiations to resolve the Yemeni crisis and the issue of the South, and the presented proposals and their legal implications.

The Committee stood before the irresponsible behavior of violating the objectives of forming a government of power-sharing, and the dealing of some officials in the state institutions, especially some of the appeals in prosecutions, with the recommendations issued through unilateral decisions from certain parties in contravention of the provisions of the law, and in dealing with the unilateral measures issued by some ministers and officials in state bodies regarding appointments.

The Committee stressed the illegality of dealing with any unilateral decisions, and warned of their dangers to the continuity of the Riyadh Agreement and the coalition’s efforts to prepare for a peaceful solution to the crisis in general.

The Committee concluded its meeting by reviewing the requests for legal advice submitted by the bodies of the Transitional Council, and took a number of measures related to its internal work, and what is required in its regard.
