Tens of Southern POWs Start Hunger Strike Inside Prisons of Muslim Brotherhood Militias in Shabwa
[su_label type=”info”]SMA News – Lahj – Exclusive[/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″][su_dropcap]T[/su_dropcap]hirty-three southern POWS from Rudfan, Yagiea and Al-Dhala’a, who are imprisoned in prisons of Muslim Brotherhood militias in Shabwa, started an open hunger strike in protest for their captivity and the provocative acts of the militias against them.
Captives considered this step as a preliminary step in their struggle due to intentional negligence, deprivation and violence policies exercised by prisons authorities against them in addition to preventing them from communication with their families.
Families of POWs demanded General Ahmed Al-Turkey, governor of Lahj, and other southern and tribal leaders in Shabwa in addition to human rights organizations to exercises pressure over local authorities to release their sons. They assumed local authorities of Shabwa responsible for the lives of their sons. They also indicated that all escalation choices are open till their sons are released.
