The Administrative Body of the National Assembly continues its periodic meeting headed by Dr. Anis Luqman

The administrative body of the National Assembly continued, on Thursday, at the a National Assembly’s headquarters, to hold its periodic meeting, for the second day in a row, headed by Dr. Anis Luqman, Vice Chairman of the Assembly.

In Thursday’s session, the minutes of the meeting were reviewed and the agenda of the administrative body were discussed, in addition to the discussion of  a number of reports regarding some schools in Aden, presenting detailed explanation of the situation of schools in the capital, Aden after the 2015 war, and the situation after the arrival of displaced and refugees, as well as the destruction in its structure and change in its shape in the absence of the state, and the government’s failure to play its role.

The meeting also touched on the report of the committee assigned by the administrative body regarding the preparation of an explanatory note on the topics discussed in the meeting of the administrative body, in addition to discussing a proposal to form a joint coordination team to control the work of civil society organizations and international organizations.

A scientific study was presented by the Studies and Research Committee of the National Assembly to discuss political, tribal and regional interventions and their impact on the educational process in universities.

On the miscellaneous side, the Media Committee in the National Assembly, confirmed the work of implementing a documentary film about Aden, which was prepared and supervised by the committee, entitled “Aden, the spirit of coexistence and peace.”

At the conclusion of the meeting, the meeting approved the formation of a committee to meet the president of the University of Aden, consisting of the committees of higher education, human rights, and youth, as well as the formation of a working group headed by the deputy head of the Education Committee to monitor and document the deterioration and violations that occur to education and educational edifices in the south in general and the capital, Aden in particular, and follow up on the authorities to take urgent legal action in this regard.
