The anniversary of disengagement declaration and abolition of the unfortunate Yemeni unity agreement
SMA News – Aden the capital
The day of Friday, marks the anniversary of the disengagement declaration from the Sana’a regime and the end of the merged unity with the north, which was announced by former southern president Ali Salem Al-Bidh on the eve of May 21, 1994.
The southern people celebrate this “inauspicious” anniversary – as the people of the South call it – in an annual commemoration in which the southerners recall the end to the unity of annexation and dependency that was imposed on them by force and later led to the complete invasion of their lands by the allied military, political, tribal and religious forces headed by Ali Abdullah Saleh .
This year’s celebration comes in a dire living situation that the majority of the people of the South suffer from since the brutal and cruel occupation invaded the southern land and destroyed everything nice.
The governorates of the South are witnessing a major economic deterioration and a catastrophic collapse of the infrastructure amid a complete absence and deliberate and clear neglect by the Yemeni occupation forces, which are practicing service warfare in a desperate attempt to starve and subjugate the people of the south until they give up their liberation project from those barbaric and oppressive corrupt forces.
