The Central bank in Aden returns salaries to finance and refuses to pay to state’s employees

SMA NEWS – ADEN the Capital

Official sources said that the Central Bank in the capital, Aden, strongly refused on Tuesday, to pay the salaries of civil employees of the state.

The sources confirmed that the Central Bank returned on Tuesday, for the third time, the salaries payments to the Ministry of Finance instead of paying them to state’s staff.

Officials in the Central Bank of Aden said that they had directives from the Minister of Finance to return the salaries and not to pay them, while the Finance confirms the delivery of the salaries to the Central Bank.

General managers and financial officials of a large number of government institutions and utilities had confirmed that the Ministry of Finance had delivered the salaries to the Central Bank, but they were surprised that bank officials refused to pay them and were informed of the directives from the Minister of Finance.

Union sources accused officials in the Central Bank of Yemen in Aden of deliberately delaying the payment of the salaries of civil employees of the state and fabricating an unjustified crisis that serves agendas aimed at exacerbating human suffering in light of the harsh living conditions that the workers and employees are suffered from.

Demands raised to the Minister of Finance to intervene to compel the Central Bank of Aden to pay Salaries and keep it away of any political quarrels.
