The Chairman of the National Assembly of STC reviews activities of Southern Journalists Syndicate and its future plans

Mr. Ali Al-Kathiri, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council, on Thursday, met the leadership of the Southern Journalists and Media Professionals Syndicate, headed by its Captain Aidaroos Bahashwan.
During the meeting, which included Deputy Secretary-General of the Syndicate Nasr Bagreeb, Nasr Harhra, Rapporteur of the Assembly, Nadra Abdel Quddus, Head of the Information Committee, and Hossam Ashour, Press Secretary to the Chairman of the Assembly, Al-Kathiri got briefed on the Syndicate’s activity and the tasks it has accomplished during the past period, in addition to issuing membership cards to its members from various governorates of the South, and the obstacles and difficulties facing the workflow in its center and branches, in addition to its plans and programs for the coming period.
Al-Kathiri also listened to an explanation from Captain Bahashwan about the project to rehabilitate the headquarters ofthe Syndicate in the capital, Aden, and the engineering studies and designs that were prepared in this regard.
Al-Kathiri stressed the importance of strengthening the activity of the Southern Journalists and Media Professionals Syndicate, as it is one of the important unions and the custodian entity for all those working in the profession from the people of the South with their various orientations and affiliations, and the body entrusted with defending their rights and interests, as well as its role in restoring and activating the southern media journalistic institutions, expressing the readiness of the National Assembly to provide support to the Syndicate to enable it to perform its role and preserve its independence.
