The committee formed by President Al-Zubaidi inspects reality of illegal levies on the international coast in Abyan

The committee assigned by President Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, the President of the Southern Transitional Council, represented by Al-Khader Al-Saeedi, member of the Presidency of the Transitional Council, Chairman of the Committee, on Monday, carried out a field visit to the sites of possible collecting illegal levies on the international coastal line in Abyan Governorate.

The field committee, in which the head of the security department of the Transitional Council, Brigadier General Ahmed Hassan, the governorate’s transitional executive chief, Hassan Ghaithan, and representatives of the Economic Auxiliary Authority, participated in, set out from Al-Alam Point to Shokra region, to inspect directly the reality of illegal taxes and levies at the checkpoints along the International Commercial Road Line.

During the visit, the committee checked on several topics through files and invoices, and also listened to truck drivers who provided a broad explanation in this context, as member of the Presidency of the Transitional Council, Al-Khader Al-Saeedi, pointed out that there are some dilemmas and actions that reflect negative images of passers-by International Commercial Line, stressing that the committee will submit a detailed report to the senior leadership of the Transitional Council, praising everyone who contributed, interacted and cooperated with it to make its work a success.

At the conclusion of the visit, Al-Saeedi called for removing all levies points from Abyan International Commercial Road Line, as they burden citizens, urging the local authority in the governorate to address errors in accordance with the law, and for these revenues to go to the benefit of developing the governorate and serving its people.
