The Chairman of the Consultation and Reconciliation Commission, and his deputies, Mohammed Al-Ghaithi, on Tuesday, at the Commission’s headquarters in the capital, Aden, met with Ambassador Gabriel Munera Viñales, Head of the European Union Mission, and the Ambassadors of France, Germany, and the Netherlands, Catherine Corm Kammoun, Hubert Josef Jäger, and Janet Sieben.
The meeting discussed the efforts of the Consultation and Reconciliation Commission, and the work tasks of its committees, including the plans and programs that the Commission will work on in the political, economic and social aspects, the media aspect, and the file of freedoms and human rights.
The two sides agreed to joint cooperation and coordination to support efforts to improve basic services, support development, build and raise capabilities, and advance reconciliation and peace efforts.
Al-Ghaithi expressed the Consultation and Reconciliation Commission’s support for the Presidential Command Council, the government, and the Central Bank’s measures aimed at protecting the economic system from collapse as a result of the practices of the Iran-backed Houthi militias.
Al-Ghaithi warned of the need to find urgent economic support to provide basic services to citizens, in light of the deterioration of services and the deterioration of people’s living conditions.
