SMA NEWS – ADEN THE CAPITAL
The General Directorate of Foreign Affairs of the Southern Transitional Council welcomes the extension of arms embargo on Houthi militias, as stipulated in the UN Security Council resolution 2624, stressing the need for member states to implement the necessary measures to implement this resolution, in order to ensure an end of the dangerous terrorist practices carried out by the Houthi terrorist militia, which comes at its forefront targeting civilian objects, economic facilities, and populated cities in the south of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, in addition to threatening international navigation and the security and stability of the region.
The Foreign Affairs of the Transitional Council values the call of the Security Council’s resolution for all parties to participate constructively in the consultations led by the envoy of the UN Secretary-General “without any preconditions,” calling on the international community to continue to support a comprehensive and constructive approach that ensures a successful and lasting political process.
