The General Secretariat discusses problem of deteriorating services and stresses the need to monitor prices

Eng. Adnan Mohammad Al-Kaf, the member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, Acting Secretary-General of the Council’s Presidency, Chairman of the Relief and Humanitarian Action Committee, chaired on Monday, the periodic meeting of the General Secretariat.

The meeting reviewed the reports of the activities of the General Secretariat departments and local authorities for the past week, in addition to the two reports submitted by the political and economic departments, in which they reviewed the developments of the political and economic scenes, the problems of services, and electricity and water cuts, and the excessive rise in the prices of food and goods in the southern governorates, especially with the advent of the month of Ramadan.

In the meeting, Al-Kaf stressed the importance of contributing by all possible means to alleviate the burden of living and life of the citizens, and the active presence of the council’s cadres on the ground through activities and events.

Al-Kaf stressed the importance of submitting reports and conducting evaluations of performance levels to allow upgrading of work standards, which will be reflected positively on the ground.

He also stressed the need to activate the role of price control and foodstuffs through community committees and local leaderships of the Council, along with local authorities in the districts, and to submit weekly reports on that.

The meeting reviewed and approved its previous meeting minutes, as well as the most important activities to be implemented during the next week.
