The General Secretariatof STC Presidency commemorates the 58th anniversary of Southern Martyrs’ Day

The General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) commemorated, onTuesday, the 58th anniversary of Southern Martyrs’ Day by laying a wreath of flowers in front of the Unknown Soldier Memorial in the capital, Aden.
Mr. Abdo Ali Al-Naqeeb, Assistant Secretary-General of the General Secretariat, laid a wreath of flowers in front of the Unknown Soldier Memorial, stood for a minute of silence, and recited Surat Al-Fatihah for the souls of the martyrs of the south, calling on God Almighty to have mercy on them and to make them dwell in heaven with the prophets and the righteous.
Following the wreath-laying ceremony, Al-Naqeeb stressed that the anniversary of the Southern Martyr’s Day embodies the spirit of sacrifice made by the people of the South over decades, in order to continue loyalty to the martyrs and follow in their footsteps in defending the land of the South until the restoration of the fully sovereign national state of the South.
