The Prime Minister Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, during his meeting with the American Ambassador, Stephen Fagin, discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations, developments of the situation in the country, and the government’s efforts at the economic and development levels.
The meeting touched on the importance of American support in a number of areas, most notably building the capabilities of national institutions and their workers, in addition to the situation in the region.
The two sides discussed the repercussions of the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia targeting the ship “Rubimar”, the Houthi militia’s insistence on sinking it, and the ship’s owners’ failure to cooperate with the government.
Bin Mubarak appealed to the international community to take practical and urgent action and form an international emergency cell to save the Red Sea and address the environmental disaster resulting from the sinking of the ship.
The Prime Minister expressed the government’s condemnation of the continued brutal acts of the Israeli occupation against civilians in the Gaza Strip, calling for all possible efforts to stop the war of genocide against the Palestinian people.
