The Governor of Aden and the French Ambassador discuss development plans for the city

Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, Governor of the capital, Aden, welcomed Ambassador Catherine Corm Kammoun, Ambassador of the Republic of France to our country, today, Tuesday, at the capital’s court, in a meeting that discussed mechanisms for enhancing cooperation between the two sides.
In the meeting, in the presence of the directors of the Planning and Information Offices, Lamlas presented an aspect of the situation in the capital, Aden, and the efforts of the local authority to normalize public life, rebuild state institutions, and improve the level of services according to available capabilities.
He reviewed the progress of work and ongoing plans in various sectors, most notably revenue development, road repairs, lighting, and the rehabilitation of parks and public spaces.
He said that the deterioration of the economic situation represents the greatest concern for citizens at the present time, due to its direct effects on their lives, stressing the need to address the deterioration in the value of the currency and living conditions.
The ambassador expressed her country’s keenness to coordinate with the relevant institutions to provide the required support to the local authority in the capital, Aden, and meet the needs of the population.
