The governor of Aden the capital, Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, and the Minister of Electricity and Energy, Dr. Anwar Kalachat, in the presence of Deputy Minister of Oil and Minerals Saeed Al-Shamasy, and director of the oil derivatives project in the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, Mr. Salman Al-Hazimi, and Eng. Walid Al-Abbasi, Secretary to the Prime Minister, in addition to a number of and a number of deputy ministries, security and military leaders, local authority officials, and officials of the Saudi program in Aden, inaugurated on Saturday, the oil grant provided to power plants in a number of governorates, estimated at $ 422 million, through the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, of which the first batch, totaling 54,000 tons of oil derivatives, arrived at the oil port in Aden on Saturday.
At the inauguration ceremony held by the Saudi program at the oil port dock, a number of expressive words were delivered on the occasion, as the governor of the capital, Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, expressed the great thanks and appreciation of the people of Aden to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Crown Prince of the Kingdom, Prince Mohammad bin Salman, and the government and all the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on this generous royal gesture represented in the grant of fuel, stressing that it came as a sense from the leaders of the Kingdom of the suffering of their brothers in Aden and other liberated provinces, indicating that this is not strange to the people of determination who came in a time of distress and participated with us in war and peace.
In the context of his speech, Lamlas assured that these quantities of fuel included in the grant will undoubtedly contribute to solving the acute crisis in generating electricity in the capital, Aden, and will help to alleviate the suffering of its residents, calling for a move away from political rivalries, and to spare services from politics.
For his part, Dr. Anwar Kalashat, the Minister of Electricity and Energy, said that this grant will have an effect on the stability of the electric generation process, and it will also have an economic impact, noting that electricity in almost all liberated governorates suffers from severe fuel shortages, and the Saudi brothers’ grant will help us overcome it.
Kalachat pointed out that this grant will give the government ample time and movement to pursue other services, thanking at the conclusion of his speech the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia represented by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and His Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their constant support for the Yemeni people.
