The Governor of Aden discusses illegal immigration crisis with Humanitarian Affairs Coordinator

Ahmed Lamlas, Governor of the capital, Aden, during his meeting with the Deputy Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs at the United Nations, Diego Zorya, in his office at the General Court, on Tuesday, reviewed the efforts of the local authority to develop administrative work and improve the services provided to citizens.
He expressed his aspiration for Aden to be a model to be emulated in the rest of the governorates, stressing the importance of transforming relief projects into sustainable development projects, and responding to humanitarian interventions, to the nature of the challenges that the local community is experiencing, as a result of the economic situation.
The meeting discussed security and relief issues, the illegal immigration crisis, and working mechanisms to resolve these issues and find effective solutions.
Zorya praised the local authority’s interaction with external interventions and providing the necessary facilities to the implementing agencies, considering that “the common concern of everyone today is to achieve peace and address the economic situation.”
