The Governor of Aden the capital agrees with Doctors Without Borders to combat cholera

The Governor of the capital, Aden, Mr. Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, called on the Belgian Doctors Without Borders mission to contribute to strengthening the capabilities of the health sector in providing health services, and raising the readiness of medical facilities, to confront acute watery diarrhea (cholera).

During his meeting with the head of the mission, Alessandra Jo Destandrea, in the presence of the Director of the Health Office in the capital, Dr. Ahmed Al-Bishi, he urged solidarity and cooperation, and to support the health activities provided by Doctors Without Borders and other humanitarian agencies.

The discussion touched on mechanisms for coordinating and organizing work between the Health Office and Doctors Without Borders, to prevent the spread of cholera, by improving health services, activating field work, conducting analyzes, and providing medicines.
