The Governor of Hadhramaut inspects Mukalla Street expansion project

Mabkhout bin Madi, Governor of Hadhramaut, on Sunday, inspected the launch of work on the expansion project of the main Mukalla Street, starting from the Sultan’s Palace in Al-Salam neighborhood to Bashrif Institute in Shahid Khaled neighborhood.
Bin Madi was keen to walk around, accompanied by the Governorate’s Deputy for Technical Affairs, Eng. Amin Barzeeq, and the Director of the Office of Works and Roads, Eng. Saleh Al-Omari, on the main street that the road will include, with a length of 2,200 meters and a width between 26 and 16 meters, interspersed with a breakwater 30 meters wide, a marine tongue for boats 93 meters long to protect boats from the waves, and passages for pedestrians.
The Governor of Hadhramaut stressed the importance of the project within the local authority’s interest in the city’s infrastructure, alleviating congestion and bottlenecks within the main street in the city of Mukalla, expanding the main street of Mukalla from the Sultan’s Palace to Bashrif Institute, and facilitating the movement of locomotives to and from the port of Mukalla project will also add beauty to the city.
