The Governor of Hadhramaut lays foundation stone for new Al-Wadiah land port project

Governor of Hadhramaut, Mabkhout bin Madi, on Saturday, laid the foundation stone to begin work on the rehabilitation project of the new Al-Wadiah land port, in the city of Al-Abr.

The project, funded by the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program, was inaugurated, with the participation of the Commander of Support and Support of the Arab Coalition, Major General Sultan Al-Baqami.

It is considered the culmination of the Governor of Hadhramaut’s repeated visits to the port, and his keen follow-up of the efforts of the sister Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to develop the port with the aim of increasing its capacity to keep pace with modern developments and improving trade exchange between the two countries.

The project includes 35 projects integrated into a set of construction works that include the construction of new facilities and paths, maintenance and rehabilitation of existing buildings at the port, asphalting streets and squares, developing the electrical system, supplying the project with the water network, and supporting the infrastructure of the new port, at a cost of 18 million Saudi riyals.
