The Governor of Shabwa Urges Support for Flood-Affected Areas

The Governor of Shabwa, Awad bin Al-Wazir, on Saturday, directed the local authorities in the districts of the governorate to monitor the repercussions of rain and floods, monitor the resulting damage, and provide the necessary support to the affected areas.
Shabwa Governorate is experiencing a state of atmospheric instability, as heavy rains accompanied by thunderstorms fell, leading to torrents flowing in many valleys.
The Local Meteorology Center revealed that the rains that fell in the past hours were accompanied by a noticeable increase in wind speed, which contributed to damage to infrastructure and farms.
The Center called on citizens to take precautions, in light of the possibility of continued heavy rains during the coming hours, and the exacerbation of the risk of thunderstorms, especially in high areas.
