The Governor of the capital, Aden, stresses importance of participating in the Global Refugee Forum in Switzerland

Mr. Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, Governor of the capital, Aden, on Tuesday, during his meeting with the head of the Office of the United Nations High Commission for Refugees in the capital, Aden, Mr. Mohammed Rafiq Nasri, stressed the necessity of participating at the national level in the Global Refugee Forum, in Switzerland, next December.
Governor Lamlas expressed the importance of continuous communication and coordination between the local authority and the Commission to transform the support provided into purposeful work and projects, calling for a move from an urgent response to sustainable solutions.
The two sides reviewed efforts to provide support and implement the joint sanitation project, starting from the treatment plant in the Al-Arish area to the Martyr Nabil Al-Quaiti roundabout, and the need to include the second phase of the project in the Commission’s budget for the year 2024.
They discussed cooperation in rehabilitating war-damaged homes in the districts of the capital, Aden, and supporting technical education and vocational training institutes to provide livelihoods.
