The Governor of the Central Bank in Aden the capital resigns after canceling his decisions

Dr. Ahmed Ghaleb, Governor of the Central Bank in the capital, Aden, on Tuesday, submitted his resignation to the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, after canceling the bank’s decisions aimed at preventing the Iranian-backed Houthi militia from controlling the banking sector.
The UN Special Envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, announced this morning that the government and the Iranian-backed Houthi militia had agreed on several measures to reduce the escalation regarding the banking sector and airlines.
He announced the cancellation of recent decisions and measures against banks on both sides and the cessation of any similar decisions or measures in the future, and the resumption of Yemenia Airlines flights between Sana’a and Jordan, increasing the number of its flights to three daily, and operating flights to Cairo and India as needed.
