Chairman of the National Southern Media Authority meets in Aden the capital Head of STC Executive body in Abyan

Mr. Salem Thabet Al-Awlaki, Chairman of the National Southern Media Assistant Authority to the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), on Monday, received in his office in the capital, Aden, Mr. Hassan Munser Ghaithan Al-Kazmi, Head of the Executive Body of the Local Leadership of the Southern Transitional Council in Abyan governorate.
At the beginning of the meeting, Al-Awlaki congratulated his brother Ghaithan on his appointment by the President of STC as Head of STC in Abyan, pointing out the special importance of Abyan governorate in strengthening the southern cohesion and the efforts of its people in combating terrorism.
Al-Awlaki pointed to the specificity of Abyan in the southern reality as it is the central node and a basic foundation for the social, tribal and security movement in the south, wishing the local leadership of STC in the governorate to continue efforts in construction and development and address service problems in cooperation with the local authority and to continue efforts to establish security and stability and confront extremism and terrorism.
During the meeting, the media situation in the governorate was discussed and the importance of the media role in it to shed light on activities and events and address the problems that the governorate suffers from.
For his part, Ghaithan expressed the governorate’s need for broad media coverage to provide its staff with the required media to convey the correct picture of the reality in Abyan.
In this context, Al-Awlaki affirmed the support and backing of the Southern National Media Authority for the governorate’s media and for STC in Abyan in addressing the requirements of media work there.
