SMA NEWS – ADEN THE CAPITAL
The Institutional Development Authority assisting the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), held its regular meeting for the month of May in the capital, Aden, chaired by Mr. Saeed Mohammed Saadan, Chairman of the Authority.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Authority commemorated the eighth anniversary of the historic Aden Declaration, which represented a turning point in the journey of the people of the South. The Declaration was a turning point in the journey of the people of the South, when our southern people authorized President Aidarous Qassem al-Zubaidi to lead their national struggle to restore an independent southern state. This resulted in the establishment of the Southern Transitional Council on May 11, 2017, as the first political entity uniting the people of the South and the primary advocate of the just cause of the South.

On this occasion, the Authority extended its warmest congratulations to President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, and to the leadership, bases, and supporters of the Transitional Council. It praised this historic achievement, which united the people of the South for the first time since 1994, embodying the will of the people of the South to fight to restore their state.

The Authority also expressed its pride in the achievements and victories achieved by the Council since its founding, emphasizing the importance of strengthening these gains by consolidating the Council’s organizational structure and enhancing institutional performance. This will contribute to positive interaction with internal and external variables, achieving Southern consensus, and empowering central and local state institutions, as these are key conditions for victory, progress, and the completion of the project to restore the state.

The Authority also discussed a number of issues on its meeting agenda, most notably the performance reports for the first quarter of the current year for the Authority’s departments, in addition to organizational issues and the Authority’s work plan for the second quarter. The necessary decisions were taken regarding these issues. Read more from the Southern Transitional Council:
