The Minister of Agriculture and Governor of Hadhramaut discuss the progress of development projects

The Minister of Agriculture, Salem Al-Socotri, and the Governor of Hadhramaut, Mabkhout bin Madi, on Wednesday, discussed in a joint meeting the progress of work in the projects being implemented in the agricultural and fisheries sectors.
The two sides discussed the developments of the strategic Wadi Hajar project and its importance in storing flood water and providing water reserves, in addition to the fisheries management project, which is necessary for a number of fish activities and projects in Hadhramaut Governorate, including the rehabilitation of fish landing centers.
They also discussed the plan of interventions and projects to be implemented in the governorate in the agricultural and fisheries sectors, and agreed on joint cooperation by activating procedures to control agricultural exports and imports through various ports.
The Minister of Agriculture confirmed that Hadhramaut receives priority in the ministry’s program through projects of strategic importance in the agriculture and fish sectors, pointing to its strategic importance as a tributary of food stocks and the national economy.
