The Minister of Transport checks on work progress of enhancing Aden Airport security project

The Minister of Transport, Dr. Abdul Salam Humaid, on Monday, met the CEO of the American company Valar, which is responsible for implementing the project to enhance civil aviation security at Aden International Airport, Gabriel Osher, and his deputy for information and analysis, Keith Newcomer.
The meeting discussed the progress of work on the project, pointing out that several meetings were held regarding it, with the arrangements taking a period of time.
In the meeting. Minister Humaid said that the Ministry and the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology submitted a request to add a clause to the project to provide devices and equipment that would ensure benefit from the grant and enhance the success of the project in improving the infrastructure of Aden International Airport.
He stressed that the project grant represents an important opportunity, saying that we aspire that the final results will achieve the technical feasibility, security, and efficiency of the airport and the Aviation Authority.
In turn, Gabriel Osher pointed out the completion of the evaluation to reach the primary goal of the project, which is to build a qualified aviation security staff at Aden Airport, and develop documents, evidence and legislation in response to the conditions of compliance with the International Aviation Organization (ICAO).
