The Minister of Transport follows up on work of the Civil Aviation Authority

The Minister of Transport, Dr. Abdul Salam Saleh Humaid, on Tuesday, visited the General Authority of Civil Aviation to inspect the workflow and job discipline among the authority’s cadres.
During his tour, he reviewed the work of the safety, airports, meteorology and public administration sectors, and the plan to develop and modernize the work of the Authority, air navigation and airports.
Humaid warned of the need for job discipline, achievement, and improving performance, taking into account rules and regulations, and rationalizing expenses in the Authority’s work, as it is an important strategic facility that serves citizens, stressing that the drop-off will be repeated in all the ministry’s facilities.
He met with the leadership of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, to discuss the progress of projects at airports, especially Aden International Airport, and briefed sector agents and specialists to evaluate the progress of the projects, directing, in coordination with the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program, to complete the remaining stages of the projects.
Dr. Abdul Salam discussed arrangements for equipping Ataq International Airport, and was tasked with quickly completing it to serve the community and facilitate citizens’ travel. He directed the formation of a committee to go to Aden International Airport to determine a suitable location for the main building of the authority.
The Minister of Transport expressed his satisfaction with the authority’s successes since its move to Aden, to restore airport activity, revitalize flights, attract talent, develop and train, calling for more efforts and raising efficiency to complete all development projects.
