The office of the UN envoy “Griffiths” interacts with South Civil Society Organizations memorandum

In an interaction with the memorandum of the South Civil Society Organizations that was addressed to Mr. Martin Griffith, the envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Yemen, on Monday, the representative of the office of the envoy of the UN secretary general in Amman, Ms. Mai Al-Sheikh, contacted Dr. Fadhl Al-Rubaie, the coordinator of the Southern Organizations Group, expressing their understanding of what was stated in the memorandum, confirming the UN envoy’s keenness to create partnerships with various sectors of society, and to open dialogues and consultations with society groups with the aim of developing ideas and perceptions that would enhance efforts to bring peace to Yemen.

For his part, Dr. Fadhl Al-Rubaie expressed his gratitude for the response of the UN envoy’s office with the content of the memorandum of the southern civil society organizations, explaining the importance of a relationship of cooperation and coordination between all peace-loving forces eager to accelerate the end of the war in Yemen, particularly the civil society organizations that represent the conscience of that community.

The two sides have agreed that there will be joint activities to be organized soon.
