The political body of STC holds its periodic meeting and reviews general political situation

The Auxiliary Political Body of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), headed by Dr. Khaled Bamdhaf, Vice Chairman of the Body, on Thursday, in the capital, Aden, held its periodic meeting for the second half of January 2024.
In its meeting, the political body discussed the most prominent political developments on the national and regional arena, specifically the continued escalation of the Houthi terrorist militia on land or sea, which affects peace efforts, and the threat to navigation in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab, which directly affects Arab and international security.
At the meeting, the Body praised the valor of the members and officers of the southern armed forces in the governorates of Al-Dhalea, Abyan, and Shabwa, in their response to the attacks of the terrorist Houthi militia, and the militia’s desperate attempts at military escalation against the south.
The Political Body of STC appreciated the successful visit of President Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi to Switzerland, his participation in the activities of the 54th World Economic Forum held in the resort of Davos, and the holding of diplomatic meetings with heads of delegations and foreign ministers of a number of brotherly and friendly countries.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the body approved its integrated plan for the political body for the year 2024, as well as the plans of the affiliated bodies that were submitted to the political body, reviewing the new topics on its agenda, and took the necessary measures regarding them.
