The Political Department organizes consultative meeting to support the Southern National Dialogue

The Political Department of the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council organized on Tuesday, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in the capital, Aden, a consultative meeting to support the Southern National Dialogue for the leadership bodies of the Southern Transitional Council, chaired by Mr. Fadl Mohammad al-Jaadi, Deputy Secretary-General, in the presence of Mr. Lutfi Shatara, member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, and Eng. Nizar Haitham, member of the Presidency, Head of Transitional Council Executive in the Capital, Aden, and Mr. Mohammad Al-Ghaithy, Head of the General Directorate of Foreign Affairs of the Council.
In the meeting, Al-Jaadi delivered a speech in which he stressed that “the basis of the South is the national reconciliation, and the Transitional Council has raised the slogan of “The South is for all its people”, and the strength of southerners is in their unity, as it is a message to all our brothers who preceded us in the southern leadership to return to their homeland, and the homeland is the basis before anything else.
Mr. Mohammad Al-Ghaithi, also spoke at the meeting about the importance of dialogue, stressing that the decision of President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi to form an external southern national dialogue team, came out of the Transitional Council’s keenness on southern national unity and its intention to enable all groups of southern society to actively and truly participate in charting the political future of the South and achieving justice, stability and peace.
In turn, Dr. Khaled Bamedhaf, Head of the Political Department in the General Secretariat, in his speech, pointed out to the political marks that the Transitional Council showed, by sensing the historical responsibility of the South, and its openness to all forces, away from exclusion and marginalization, and calling for dialogue with all southerners within the framework of the southern national project, in order to achieve the hoped-for success in the service of the higher interests of the South at this historical moment that all parties, in the dialogue, must give the required impetus.
The meeting reviewed the importance of the Southern National Dialogue, which will be launched during the next stage, as a clear national approach for the Southern Transitional Council, which has been included in its political vision since its establishment, and an emphasis on laying the foundations for dialogue and strengthening the bonds of southern national cohesion in order to consolidate the values of southern reconciliation and tolerance.
The meeting stressed the importance of working properly to face all expected circumstances with honesty and transparency, based on the invitation of the Deputy Secretary-General to the southern leaderships to meet and agree on a document of honor that forbids the blood of southerners, to start working for the South with all credibility, benefiting from past experiences.
At the meeting, a number of proposals presented, in which related to how to support the process of the external southern national dialogue, and the importance of agreeing on the approach of dialogue and the solutions to any political crisis by bringing the views closer to achieving the unity of the southern ranks based on the will of the people of the south and the justice of their cause.
