The Presidency of Transitional Council condemns military mobilization operations in Abyan, Shabwa and Lahj

The Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council renewed its condemnation of all military mobilization operations carried out by the Muslim Brotherhood militia, which is under Yemeni authority, in the governorates of “Abyan, Shabwa, and Lahj”, stressing that these practices and provocations would disrupt the Riyadh Agreement, violate it, and divert its course, as the agreement is the safe way out of the crises that struck the liberated governorates of the South.
This came during the periodic meeting of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, on Monday, chaired by the President of the Transitional Council, President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, and attended by the Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Council, Governor of the capital, Aden, Mr. Ahmed Hamed Lamlas.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Presidency valued the activities and meetings held by President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, during the past weeks, with the various Council bodies and local leaderships of the Council in the various governorates of the South, as well as his positive meetings with members of the National Assembly and various southern segments, confirming the follow-up of these meetings by the Council’s bodies, and approving the appropriate mechanisms for their implementation.
The Presidency of the Council also reviewed the decisions of its previous meetings, and the executive steps regarding the electricity and water files, stressing the need to resolve these two crises as soon as possible, because of the great suffering they cause to citizens.
For the military side , the Presidency renewed its condemnation of all military mobilization operations carried out by the Brotherhood militia, which is under Yemeni authority, in the governorates of “Abyan, Shabwa, and Lahj”, stressing that these actions and provocations would disrupt and violate the Riyadh Agreement, stressing the Council’s keenness to implement all the provisions of the Riyadh Agreement without any selectivity, because of its importance in alleviating the suffering of citizens, and in unifying efforts to confront the Persian expansion represented by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia, given that the agreement is the only way out of the current crises.
The Presidency also praised the high combat readiness of the southern armed forces, and their constant readiness to confront all the dangers facing the South, in addition to the security measures implemented by the southern security services in the various governorates of the South, stressing the need to continue them, at the same pace they began.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Presidency of the Council highly valued all the steps taken in the field of developing southern media institutions, stressing the need to preserve official media buildings as the property of the people in light of the government’s intransigence in carrying out its tasks stipulated in the Riyadh Agreement.
