The Presidency praises solidarity of national forces in Shabwa to thwart attempts to revive Yemeni parties

The Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, on Monday, held its periodic meeting headed by Mr. Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Council, Governor of the capital, Aden.

In its meeting, the Presidency reviewed the developments in the political situation on the national scene, praising in the context the solidarity of the various southern national forces in Shabwa governorate and the South in general, to put an end to the attempts to revive the Yemeni parties that caused suffering to our people and brought them to this deteriorating situation.

The Presidency warned against the continuous attempts to stir up problems by other means that are being prepared in some districts of Abyan governorate, stressing that the people of Abyan, along with all the southern national forces, will confront and fail these attempts.

The Presidency stressed that the sacrifices of the martyrs and blood of wounded will always be the motivation to stand firmly in the face of all conspiracies aimed at undermining the achievements of the South and diverting the path of restoring the state.

In its meeting, the Presidency discussed the services conditions, stressing that addressing electricity problems as well the collapse of the currency exchange rate is the first priority need of the citizens, stressing that the prime minister and the leadership of the Central Bank must assume their responsibilities in this aspect to alleviate the tragic situation of the citizens.

On the security side, the Presidency renewed the Transitional Council’s condemnation and denunciation of the terrorist kidnappings of the employees of some international relief and humanitarian organizations in the areas controlled by the Brotherhood militias in the desert of Hadhramout, stressing that these areas have been and will remain an arena for terrorist activities in light of their continued existence under the control of these militias.

The Presidency also renewed its call on the international community to support the southern counter-terrorism forces and the southern armed and security forces, who have proven their ability to eradicate the roots of terrorism in all governorates of the South.

The Presidency also discussed a number of other issues related to the work of the bodies of the Southern Transitional Council and took the necessary measures in this regard.
