SMA NEWS – ADEN THE CAPITAL
The Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council held its meeting on Monday, chaired by Major General Ahmed Saeed Bin Brik, Acting President of the Council, Chairman of the National Assembly.
In its meeting, the Presidency approved the perceptions presented by the General Secretariat regarding the main directions of the work plan of the Transitional Council for the year 2022.
In its discussion of the developments in the general situation in the capital, Aden, and the governorate of Abyan, the Presidency renewed its demand for all units of the southern security and armed forces, to maintain security vigilance and permanent readiness to confront the joint serving between the Houthi and Brotherhood, which tended to systematically use bombings and assassinations, as means to achieve goals that they were unable to achieve on the frontlines. .
In this context, the Presidency also called on the members of the community committees in the various neighborhoods of the capital, and all the people of the South, to continue cooperating with the security services, to report suspicious elements to seize them.
In the discussion of the situation in Hadhramout governorate, the Presidency strongly warned the Yemeni Brotherhood’s occupation authorities against the persistence in assaulting the people of the governorate during their legitimate escalation to combat corruption and stop the depletion of its resources and wealth, in light of the ignoring of these authorities to the most basic requirements of the citizens.
The Presidency stressed that any attack against the heroes of the Hadrami upraising will be faced with a complete escalation to include all the governorates of the South, calling in the context to speed up the transfer of the Yemeni military forces in the districts of the valley of Hadhramout, which are increasingly intransigent, repressive and provocative to the citizens, and strictly and brutality continue in protecting corruption of military and political leaders of the Brotherhood in Yemeni legitimacy and their continued looting of the governorate’s wealth, and directing it to the frontlines to confront the Persian Houthis.
The Presidency indicated that the suffocating crisis of oil derivatives in the Yemeni areas under Houthi control and their sudden rise after a state of stability, and the stop of the refinery in Marib simultaneously with the stopping of oil tankers by the people of Hadhramout for daily looting their governorate’s oil, is evidence of their total dependence on the oil of the South, and its use of the policy of planned depletion and directing its revenues to the pockets of the Yemeni influence and authority figures, and to implement their conspiratorial plans against the owners of wealth, the sons of the South.
The Presidency praised the procedures of the Hadrami upraising and its rationality, which facilitated the conditions for the continuity of securing the needs of oil and its derivatives for electricity and others of humanitarian cases.
On the same level, the Presidency called on the Arab Coalition to quickly put pressure on the leaders of the Yemeni legitimacy, to arrange the conditions of the leadership of the security and local authority in Shabwa governorate, noting the serious risks that would ensue if the current leadership continued, including the expansion of the popular uprising in Hadhramout to include Shabwa governorate, which the Southern Transitional Council will inevitably and strongly stand on its side if the change of its local authority is not accelerated in compromise with the Transitional Council according to the Riyadh Agreement, with the necessity to push the Yemeni military forces present in the governorate to the frontlines in order to avoid direct confrontation with the people of the governorate as a result of provocative acts and blackmail that are exercised by these forces against the citizens and their wealth, rights and freedoms.
In its meeting, the Presidency reviewed the state of the unjustified high rise of the currency and its sudden decline, pointing out that this confirms the validity of what the Presidency proposed about the presence of influential elements in the authority and businessmen and corruption individuals who are close to it, and push the currency to rise and fall to achieve their ambitions at the expense of the citizens, stressing the need to speed up the establishment of the new administration of the Central Bank, to take urgent and deliberate measures to secure the stability of the currency, and to hold accountable all those who manipulated it at the expense of the citizen’s livelihood.
In this regard, the Presidency called on the government, to expedite urgent and decisive measures to reduce the prices of basic materials and oil derivatives in coordination with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and other government, regulatory and security agencies, to ensure price stability and its true proportionality with the value of the currency, as well as regulating imports and directing the priority of spending hard currency to provide them, stressing the readiness of the Southern Transitional Council to support it with everything possible to achieve this mission, which is in the interest of the citizen.
The Presidency also discussed a number of other topics related to the work of the various bodies of the Transitional Council, and took the necessary measures in this regard.
