The Security Belt Leadership and Geneva Call organize courses for individuals

Brigadier General Mohsen Al-Wali, Commander-in-Chief of the Security Belt Forces, received today, Thursday, Ahmed Al-Balasi, Project Coordinator at the Swiss Geneva Call organization, at the General Command.
During the meeting, the two parties discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the field of training and rehabilitation, in addition to the protection of civilians and the human rights file.
The Al-Wali was briefed on the organization’s tasks and its role in coordination with the leadership of the Southern Transitional Council. He also touched on aspects of joint cooperation between the Security Belt Leadership and Geneva Call.
They discussed holding training and qualification courses for officers and members of the Security Belt Forces on human rights and international humanitarian law, protecting civilians in armed conflicts, and supporting the efforts of the Security Belt Forces in protecting women and children from violations during conflicts.
They also agreed to enhance cooperation between the Belt Forces and the Swiss organization in the field of mine clearance and awareness of the dangers of their use.
The Al-Wali expressed his readiness to cooperate with Geneva Call, overcome the difficulties and obstacles that hinder its work, and organize awareness sessions on international human rights concepts among the Security Belt forces.
