The Special Representative of President of the Council for Foreign Affairs meets Dutch Ambassador

The Special Representative of the President of the Southern Transitional Council for Foreign Affairs, Member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, Mr. Amr Ali Al-Beidh, met on Monday, with the Dutch Ambassador to Yemen, Mr. Peter Dirk Hof.
The meeting discussed the latest developments in the South and Yemen at various levels.
During the meeting, Al-Beidh praised the role of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in support of resolving the conflict and achieving a settlement that guarantees sustainable peace and security for the region.
Al-Beidh stressed the importance of addressing the economic situation, noting that this is among the priorities of the Southern Transitional Council to put an end to the humanitarian crisis and the deteriorating situation that has burdened the citizens.
The meeting dealt with the Houthi and Brotherhood escalation in the Yemeni governorate of Marib, and Shabwa of the South, in this regard, the representative of President Al-Zubaidi confirmed that what happened in Al-Alam camp of Shabwani Elite Forces in Jardan District, by the Brotherhood’s forces, is completely unacceptable.
Al-Beidh noted that this comes at a time when the Southern Transitional Council is mobilizing its efforts with the Arab Coalition to confront the Houthi escalation on various fronts.
For his part, the Dutch ambassador expressed his aspiration to address the economic situation and the humanitarian crisis, stressing his country’s support for international efforts aimed at achieving sustainable peace for the region.
