The Supreme Committee for Legal Affairs stands before a number of developments in southern arena

The Supreme Committee for Legal Affairs of the Southern Transitional Council, on Tuesday, held its first periodic meeting for the month of August in the capital, Aden, headed by Dr. Saad Mohammed Saad, Chairman of the Committee.
During the meeting, the head of the committee reviewed the legal aspects of the events on the southern national scene, most notably the military rebellion led by formations led by those affiliated with the Brotherhood, and their use of arms to refuse to implement the decisions issued by the Presidential Leadership Council, and the governor of Shabwa governorate Awad bin al-Wazir, and the resulting serious damage to the people and property, indicating that such acts are considered grave crimes should be punishable by criminal and military law.
During its meeting, the committee discussed the topics on its agenda and took a number of decisions and recommendations regarding them, including the establishment of a legal symposium on the protection of children during armed conflicts, and the issuance of a comprehensive quarterly magazine concerned with spreading legal awareness of the issues of the people of the south and restoring their state.
