The Supreme Economic Committee holds its periodic meeting headed by Dr. Matash

The Supreme Economic Committee of the Southern Transitional Council, on Wednesday, held its periodic meeting, headed by Dr. Mohammed Ali Matash, the Chairman of the Committee.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Matash saluted the efforts of the people of Shabwa governorate to affirm their permanent presence in the first rows of the homeland and their refusal of the return of the Yemeni components in the governorate. He also congratulated all members of the Supreme Economic Committee on the occasion of the advent of the blessed month of Ramadan.
The meeting discussed a report of the activities of the Supreme Economic Committee of the Southern Transitional Council and its previous duties, besides a number of special reports on the economic side, in addition to a general report on the institutions that were destroyed since 1994, and the possibility of reviving them.
The meeting reviewed reports submitted by the sub-committees formed by the committee, the most important of which was a report on the development of the prices of some food commodities in the governorates of the South, and a report about the free zone and its current status, and the possible treatments for it.
