Major General Faraj Salmeen Al-Bahsani, Vice President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and member of the Presidential Leadership Council, on Saturday, inaugurated the charitable bakeries project at the level of three districts of Hadhramaut coast.
He listened from the project supervisor, Salem Baras, about the project components, as it includes 5 bakeries with a production capacity of 6,000 thousand loaves for each bakery, with a total of 30 thousand loaves for all bakeries, and bread to be sold at a subsidized price of 20 riyals per loaf.
Al-Bahsani urged philanthropists and merchants in Hadhramaut to support charitable initiatives and work to expand them to reach all districts of Hadhramaut Governorate, he also urged to revive the values of solidarity and compassion in society in light of the country’s difficult economic conditions.
He said that these charitable initiatives contribute to alleviating the needs of the neediest families, and will touch an important segment of society suffering from the repercussions of the war launched by the terrorist Houthi militia, directing the local authority in Hadhramaut to provide a suitable location to establish a large charitable bakery that provides its services to the largest number of needy citizens.
