A massive women’s demonstration took place in Al-Arood Square in Khormaksar district of Aden the capital on Saturday afternoonWomen expressed their anger over the deteriorating living conditions and the ongoing collapse of basic services.
The demonstrators addressed direct messages to the Presidential Council and the government, demanding immediate intervention and improvement of the service situation, particularly in the electricity and water sectors. They emphasized that the current conditions are no longer tolerable.
The demonstrators chanted slogans expressing their demands, most notably: “The people want electricity and water,” referring to the daily suffering of citizens in light of the ongoing power outages.
The women also held up banners bearing clear slogans, including: “We demand improved conditions: water, electricity, and a decent life,” reflecting the extent of popular discontent and the growing role of women in expressing the demands of the Adeni street.
