The Women’s Authority of STC stresses importance of involving women of the South in peace negotiations and upcoming government appointments

The Women’s Auxiliary Authority for the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), on Sunday, held its periodic meeting for the month of February, in the capital, Aden, headed by Dr. Suhair Ali Ahmed, Head of the Authority.

The meeting reviewed a number of developments, most notably the new change of the prime minister, as the meeting stressed the importance of the decision being met with serious action worthy of the challenges of this stage, improving the living situation and meeting the basic needs of the citizen.

The meeting stressed the importance of supporting the effective political participation of women in the south and empowering them in decision-making positions, by involving them in peace negotiations and upcoming government appointments.

The Authority meeting also discussed new topics on its agenda to take the necessary decisions regarding them.
