Thwarting an Attempt To Smuggle Antiquities In Hadhramaut

The security services in Hadhramaut announced on Thursday, the arrest of two people in possession of antiquities in Al-Qatn District of the valley of Hadhramaut Governorate.
The moral guidance in Al-Qatn District stated in a press release, “A patrol belonging to the Special Security Forces in the District of Al-Qatn were able to seize a car carrying two people and in possession of antiquities while it was passing through the highway.”
According to the statement, a Prado car, black in colour, model 2006, was suspected during the routine inspection, and upon closer inspection of the car, artifacts were found including a dagger and two statues, one in the shape of a lion and the other in the shape of a horse, of different colors made of Gold with old writing on it.
The press release pointed out that the accused were from neighboring governorates, and the seized items were handed over to Al-Qatn District police to complete the legal procedures in preparation for referring them to the Public Prosecution.
