Thwarting infiltration attempt of terrorists into positions of southern forces on Mahfid border

The southern armed forces, on Thursday, repelled an attempt by al-Qaeda terrorist elements to infiltrate to their positions in Al-Mahfid district of Abyan governorate.
The southern military units stationed in that region monitored suspicious movements of al-Qaeda terrorists near one of the hills on the outskirts of the district, in an attempt to launch an attack on the southern forces.
The forces of the 14th Brigade Thunderbolt “Saiqa”, blocked the movements of the terrorist elements with an operation they launched, forcing the terrorists to flee, amid the continuation of Operation Arrows of the East “Siham Al-Sharq” aimed to cleanse Abyan of terrorists.
