To transport 12 thousand pilgrims…launching the first Hajj flights through Aden Airport

Dr. Abdul Salam Humaid, Minister of Transport, on Monday,launched the first flights to transport pilgrims from the capital, Aden International Airport, to perform Hajj rituals.

Dr. Humaid revealed a plan to transport more than 12,000 pilgrims, including approximately 4,300 from the liberated governorates and about 8,000 from Sanaa and its environs, via flights to the Holy Land.

He confirmed that there are other numbers traveling through land ports, after arrangements that took two months in coordination between the Ministries of Transport and Endowments.

The Minister of Transport pointed out that the current Hajj season is considered the second to transport pilgrims by air and land since the aggression of the Iranian-backed Houthi militia in 2015, appreciating the decision of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to raise the percentage of pilgrims to more than 12 thousand pilgrims from 7 thousand last year.
