Training and Rehabilitation Sector concludes training course on “Press Reporting Skills” for media members in governorates

The training and qualification sector of the National Southern Media Authority concluded on Tuesday, in the capital, Aden, the training course organized in “press report writing skills” for media members of the local leaderships of the Transitional Council, and the press and modern media sector in the capital, Aden, for the governorates “Aden, Lahj, Abyan and Al Dhale’e.” Under the generous patronage of President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, the President of the Southern Transitional Council.

Dr. Bassem Mansour, head of the media information department in the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, member of the National Southern Media Authority, spoke at the end of the session about the importance of continuing education for the media, which leads to professionalism in performance, explaining in it what must be available to the media and how to deal with issues of southern society, wishing the participants success in their practical tasks and in the coming days as results of this course will be evaluated by assigning them to write media reports that touch on the suffering of the people in the South.

Dr. Abdullah Al-Haw, Head of the Training and Rehabilitation Sector, member of the National Southern Media Authority, also delivered a speech in which he urged the trainees to make the most of the skills and information they received in the training course, hoping to see the impact of this course in the media field in order to achieve the aspirations of the Southern Transitional Council.

The certificates were distributed by Dr. Basem Mansour, Head of the Media Information Department, and Dr. Abdullah Al-Haw, Head of the Training and Rehabilitation Sector, to the trainees, wishing them success.

On the closing day, the participants received practical training in writing press reports professionally, while adhering to the rules of spelling, grammar, wording and style required to be present in news and reports, as what was taken in the previous days was reviewed.

The training course targeted, over a period of three days, 30 male and female trainees from the media of local leaderships of the Transitional Council and the press and modern media sector in the capital, Aden, and the governorates of Lahj, Abyan, and Al Dhale’.
